How to submit your illustration for custom embroidery

We love bringing your ideas to life — but embroidery has its own creative limits.
Please read these simple guidelines before uploading your design:

Collapsible content

1. Rights to Use

You must have the rights to use this artwork.
That means:

  • You created it yourself (by hand, digitally, or with AI), or
  • You bought or licensed it, or
  • You have permission from the artist, or
  • It’s an illustration of public use, such as a meme or similar creative material freely shared online, or
  • It's an artwork whose copyright has expired and is now in the public domain. This includes works by artists whose copyright term has ended (typically 70 years after death).

If we suspect that a design violates intellectual property rights, we may refuse to produce it.

2. Artwork Type

We only accept illustrations, not photos or photorealistic images.

3. Object Isolation

Your design should feature a single, isolated object or composition – without a background.

4. Colours and Style

  • Use solid, simple colours (no gradients, shadows, or complex textures).
  • Keep linework clear and easy to read.

5. Size and Detail

  • The maximum embroidery area is 180x130mm (7x5'')
  • If your design includes very fine details, we might simplify or remove them to preserve the quality of embroidery.

6. Final Result

Please note that the embroidered version might look slightly different from your digital artwork – but we’ll always do our best to capture its spirit and detail.
